Check Positive Pay protects your business checking accounts from check fraud. Here’s how it works:
- You upload a "check issued file" to the Positive Pay module in Business Online Banking each day you issue checks.
- When checks are presented for payment, they are compared against the uploaded file.
- If a check does not have a match in the file, it becomes an "exception item".
- You review the exception item and choose whether to pay or return it.
- If you choose to return the check, it never posts to your account.
