Access your accounts
Your privacy and security are very important to us. Below you’ll find resources and tools to help you stay informed of what you can do to protect yourself, your family and your business.
Secure Website. We use the latest, industry-accepted security standards to safeguard your personal information. When you use our Online Banking website, your login information is encrypted and protected.
User ID and Password. You create your own Online Banking ID and Password. This information is encrypted during transmission to BNC. To help maintain security, we require you to change your Password routinely. To protect your Online Banking account, do not allow your Internet browser to save your ID and Password – maintain this information in a secure manner.
Layered Security. We utilize multi-factor authentication for identifying you during Online Banking login. First, you are asked to establish a watermark during your initial account registration; this watermark demonstrates you are logging into your own account at BNC’s genuine site, not a spoofed site. Second, we ask you answer security questions when you log in from an unknown computer or location; this helps us authenticate you. In addition, we deploy SecureID Tokens to all Online Banking Cash Management Users; tokens generate a unique, one-time-use pass code that is used at login, providing an additional layer of hacker-resistant security.
Monitor and Alert. We monitor your debit card for suspicious activity. If we suspect fraud, our Fraud Center will reach out to you. If we cannot reach you, we will suspend your card to prevent fraud.
Secure Messaging. We offer secure messaging services through our website and your Online Banking. Use this feature whenever you want to send us confidential information to ensure safety. Regular email is not secure; do not send us confidential information via regular email. Instead, use our secure messaging services or contact us by phone, mail or in person.
If you are the victim of identity theft, or have been notified your personal information was part of a data breach, follow the steps outlined at the Federal Trade Commission's identitytheft.gov website. This website is specifically set up to guide you through the process.
Take advantage of these services to protect your account.
You need to be diligent at protecting your sensitive information. We suggest:
